The index for our resources is here and a list of briefs for this book appears below the fold. We have examined the literature on this topic and are pleased to release resources that discuss both the philosophical implications of the military draft and the practical realities of military concription in the modern world. You'll find a larger number of pieces of evidence from a variety of sources on both the affirmative and negative side of the topic. Good luck at Nationals!!! Big Sky Debate is pleased to release its March/April 2009 NFL Lincoln Douglas
resources on the vigilante justice topic. The resolution, released
on February 1, 2009 by the National Forensics League, is:
Resolved: Vigilantism is justified when the government has failed to enforce the law.
The index for our resources is here and a list of briefs for this book appears below the fold. Despite our perception of limited division of ground on this topic, our staff found a number of arguments on both the affirmative and negative. Among the strongest: - AFF: The United States has a rich history of vigilante enforcement of the law and the concept was supported by our founders.
- AFF: Modern day interpretations, including border crossing guards, those protecting their homes and assisting in crime prevention are critical to decreasing crime.
- NEG: Vigilante justice increases violence.
- NEG: Vigilante justice risks diminishing civil rights.
- NEG: Vigilante groups today are riddled with racism and xenophobia.
Good luck this month! As always, our individua issues of NFL LD resources are just $15! |
